About Us

The school of Animal Health (as it was then referred to ) was founded on the 1st of April, 1964 (by the now defunct Western Region and USAID) to meet the need of training Livestock Assistants to cope with the ever increasing demand for assistance in the practice of the veterinary profession .
The Diploma Course was started in 1964 as a result of the urgent need to upgrade the training of the Assistants to be more equipped for the challenges on the field.

DEPARTMENT OF HND SLT (BIOLOGY/MICROBIOLOGY OPTION) REPORT ON MICROBIOLOGY DAY (2024)

The Department HND SLT, Biology/Microbiology Option, held a Symposium/Workshop on Wednesday 22nd of May 2024 titled; MICROBIOLOGY DAY, with the theme: Understanding Microbial World; the Dynamics of Self Sufficiency. The Occasion was graced by the Dean, of Pure and Applied Sciences as well as Heads of the various Departments, who also gave their goodwill messages (including the staff). Participants who registered for the workshop are; staff and students of the department, other members of staff and students from other departments including people from outside the college. A total of 73 participants registered for the workshop. The Guest Speaker, Dr Bamidele Tolulope Odumosu, from the University of Lagos, gave an insight into the microbial world as it relates to their flexibility, mutation abilities and diversity. What is the cost of the admission forms?

For ND programme, it is yet to be fixed.
For HND programme, 10,000 naira

Can we pay instalmentally?

No please.

how many months IT do i need before enrolling into HND programme?

Minimum 9 months.
For those who had a pass grade in their ND programme, will require 2 years.

how do i get accommodation?

The school has hostels. recommendations are  based on first come basis.
