On waste management, an aspect of Waste Treatment and Utilization taught by Dr Omolara J. Ojezele,.
HND SLT Biology/Microbiology Students reused PET bottles, plastic spoons, caps and cardboard cartons to create:
• Toothbrush holders
• Decorative wall hangings
• Cup racks and organizers
• Mini-shelves and table-top accessories
This hands-on project not only demonstrated creativity and innovation but also reinforced scientific concepts such as material properties, environmental impact assessment and waste lifecycle analysis. It served as a living laboratory for sustainability and problem-solving-bringing to life the philosophy that “waste is only waste if we waste it.” The students’ work was later showcased as part of an internal exhibition, promoting eco-consciousness within the college community.

Waste utilization indeed, I appreciate Dr Ojezele for this innovation and we crave for more in the nearest future. This will help change the orientation of everyone that nothing is a waste. The students love the outcome right from the practical class.. Well done guys
FCAH&PT going higher and forward. Kudos to staff and students of HND SLT Biology/ Microbiology
This is WOW 😮😍 and encouraging
Nice concepts.
Great work, let’s keep this up. Our College is known to produce great things and great minds.
Wow 👏
Nice one…let’s keep this up
Fantastic.
Turning waste to wealth thereby keeping the environment clean & free of pollution.
Let’s further join hands together to have a safe & clean environment.
Omo this was an amazing experience in Fcahpt
This was waste management and utilization by Dr ojezele i appreciate for this amazing practical experience she gave us she made use into people that are innovative she gave this to us as a class project and she was like find waste and turn it into something that can be useful so instead of dumbing out your non biodegradable materials you re use it.
You know the funny thing is that I carried out this project it was funny because my didn’t prepare anything we just got to the class and saw other group bringing out there waste and start utilizing and I told Dr Mrs ojezele that ma please give us little time for us to look around the campus for waste that we can utilize and then we went out scatter ourselves like scavengers to look for waste which we did and guess what we were able to turn those waste into three different useful things one was toothbrush holder, another one shoe rack and a cabinet that can hold light things a cup for drinking water it was amazing I was so happy that we were able to achieve something
I appreciate Dr Mrs ojezele, her co lecturer too, our Hod for microbiology, our course coordinators kudos to you all.
