Thirty-one HND I students (FT, DPT, and WPT) of the Science Laboratory Technology (Biology/Microbiology Option) participated in an educational field trip to the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan. The students visited the IITA Forest Reserve, the Nematology/Striga Unit, the Bioscience Centre, and the Regional Hub for Fertilizer and Soil Health for West Africa and the Sahel.
The excursion provided an enlightening and eye-opening learning experience, exposing students to modern research facilities and practical applications of microbiology, agriculture, and environmental science.
The department sincerely appreciates the Chairperson of the Field Trip Committee, Miss Mathew, B. K., for her dedication, as well as the committee members, Mr. Victor Omoleye and Mrs. J. C. Okorafor, for their invaluable support in making the trip a success.
