The Department of Agricultural Extension and Management of the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Ibadan, Oyo State was established in 2010/2011 session following the visit of National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) Resource Inspection Team in 2009. The slogan of the department is “Effective Communication is Strength”.

The department train students to have qualitative manpower by adequate exposure to sound theoretical and practical background, farm and field demonstrations. The department produce well trained manpower that is self-reliant and entrepreneurial in the field of agriculture. Produce manpower that is capable of providing information and advisory services in livestock, fishery, crop production and home management. Also train students to play crucial roles in boosting agricultural productivity, increasing food security, improving rural livelihoods and promoting agriculture as an engine of pro-poor economic growth by bringing about desirable changes in knowledge, attitudes and skills of farm families.
