ND Veterinary Laboratory Technology
The department of Veterinary Laboratory Technology (VLT) was established in December, 2019 after approval by NBTE. Graduate Technicians from this department have competence in the application of modern technology with respect to diagnosis of livestock disease, its prevention and control.
Aims and Objectives
Students in Veterinary Laboratory Technology are taught on how to make sure the laboratory follows set policies and procedures. keeps and examines documents and practices in compliance with accrediting standards. carries out sophisticated testing processes, looks into and assesses novel procedures, resolves issues and grievances, gives technical guidance to employees in satellite laboratories, and serves as a point of contact for external government departments and agencies. SO that they will be relevant in livestock farms, veterinary clinics, diagnostic laboratories, pharmaceutical companies and agro-allied industries.
